A company that specializes in "teardowns" has looked at and torndown a Google Nexus S smartphone. ifixit undertook a 14 stage teardown with 25 accompanying photos.
One of the first comments made is that the " Google Nexus S is a variation of the Samsung Galaxy S, sporting more or less the same hardware specifications as its brethren".
In step 4 of the teardown - ifixit notes that the battery has a graphic on it standing for "Don't feed this battery to a baby".
The inspection of the camera reveals" Much like the Samsung Galaxy S, the Nexus S features both a rear and front-facing camera. Interestingly, the two cameras share the same connector on the motherboard and can be removed as a singular unit."
The ifixit teardown concludes by confirming the overall score. "Nexus S Repairability Score: 7 out of 10 (10 is easiest to repair)"
It is awlways interesting to have a nose inside a mobile phone and this proved to be another great expose from ifixit. You can view the complete ifixit teardown here.
